Dr
Debabrata Auddya
Post Doctoral Researcher

Dr Debabrata Auddya is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where his research focused on developing multiscale and multiphysics computational models of traumatic brain injury. During his doctoral studies, he was also part of PANTHER, a multidisciplinary consortium dedicated to advancing novel strategies for understanding and treating brain injury. Dr. Auddya’s research lies at the intersection of computational biomechanics, continuum mechanics, and numerical methods for investigating complex biomechanics phenomena into predictive computational models.

At the Podium Institute Debabrata works with Professor Johannes Weickenmeier (Brain Health group) on developing multiphysics models to investigate brain atrophy associated with periventricular white matter hyperintensities, with the broader goal of improving the understanding of neurodegenerative processes and brain tissue mechanics.
