Abstract submission for the Annual Podium Institute Conference on Sports Medicine & Technology 2026 is now open!

This year’s event will take place in the University of Oxford’s newly opened Life and Mind Building, and will be hosted by the Podium Institute Director, Professor Constantin Coussios OBE FREng. Building on the success of our past two annual events, attended by over 120 international experts, this year’s conference will bring together leading researchers, clinicians, and innovators to explore advances at the intersection of sports medicine and emerging technologies.

 

SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT

Technological and clinical researchers across academia, industry, and the world of sport wishing to present at the conference are encouraged to submit an abstract before the deadline of 23:59 on Monday 12th June 2026. The organising committee will review the abstracts and confirm acceptance by the end of July, either for an oral presentation as a contributed talk or as a poster. All contributed presentations and posters are to be given in person in Oxford.

The conference will be split into four themes:

– Musculoskeletal Health

– Cardiovascular Health

– Brain Health

– Mental Health, Sleep and Cognition

with focus on the development, application, and validation of innovative technologies such as Wearables, Digital Health & Remote Monitoring; Computer Vision; Imaging & Neuroimaging; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Biomarkers; Biomechanics and many more to transform sport safety across the youth, community and professional sports. All research contributions in the area of sports medicine and technology are welcome.

Upon notification of acceptance, contributing presenters will be required to confirm attendance through payment of the attendee fee prior to final inclusion in the programme.
